An ALNARC [Adult Literacy and Numeracy Australian Research Consortium] research project examined the interface between ALBE and ESL—areas where policy and provision changes have blurred distinctions between language proficiency and literacy capacity. The article examines classrooms where teachers encounter mixed groups of English-Speaking Background and Language Background Other than English. |
