Scoring Process AAPPL tasks are informed by the functions described in the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines and ratings are assigned according to the ACTFL Performance Descriptors for Language Learners. Score reports identify a proficiency range along with pinpointing a narrower performance score.
Results Reported As AAPPL is comprised of four components (Interpersonal Listening and Speaking, Presentational Writing, Interpretive Listening, and Interpretive Reading), proficiency ranges and performance ratings are provided for each in the score reports.
