Purposes and goals of the program:
Hua Xia Chinese School of Houston (Clear Lake Campus) is one of the seven campuses of Hua Xia Chinese School of Houston, which is a non-profit organization registered with the state of Texas. The goals of Hua Xia Chinese School of Houston are to promote Chinese language, culture, and art; enhance the understanding between Chinese and other ethnic groups; provide an excellent learning environment, where children and adults of all ethnic backgrounds can study the Chinese language, culture, and art; and meet the growing needs of economic globalization and cultural exchanges between the U.S. and China.

Hua Xia Chinese School of Houston offers Chinese heritage children 13 levels of Chinese instruction, from basic Pinyin through Level 12, and a variety of academic enrichment and extracurricular classes. Additionally, it offers Chinese as a Second Language (CSL) classes to non-Chinese speaking children and adults. The program also offers summer programs.

In 2009, Hua Xia Chinese School of Houston was selected as a Chinese Education Model School in the U.S. by the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of the State Council, China.
